The Recording of this teleclass is now available
as an MP3 Download or CD
Once again, The Professional Quilter has made the one-hour teleclass recording available for purchase. Morna McEver Golletz hosted this lively discussion with Ann Anderson, founder of Quiltwoman.com, a pattern publishing and distribution company. Ann has been publishing patterns and books for quilt and fabric projects for nine years. She also published the wildly popular Publish Your Patterns, the definitive guide by Nancy Restuccia on starting and running a successful pattern publishing business.
Earlier this year Ann sold her business and today enjoys focusing on art and community activities supporting interpretation in State Parks in Northern California. She is now working on an "Eating Local" project in the form of writing a book, "Humboldt Regional Food Resource Guide and Cookbook." She also consults with individual designers about starting and growing a pattern business.
In this informative teleclass where you'll learn:
-
how to protect the copyright of your pattern designs
-
how you can make money as a pattern designer
-
whether you need a UPC code and how to get one
-
how to get your patterns picked up by a distributor
-
how to market your pattern line
-
And more...
