Membership is open to quilters, fiber artists, mixed-media artists and others in creative industries who are creating and growing a business.

The Professional Quilter. All IAPQ members receive a quarterly subscription to The Professional Quilter. You'll learn how to start and grow your quilt business from other successful quilters and business owners. Articles are how-to oriented and cover business and marketing aspects of a quilt/fiber business. Regular columnists cover longarm quilting, technology, financial issues and judging. Our regular quilters' studio tour is also popular. Back issues are available for members.

Complimentary legal consultation not to exceed 30 minutes with an Intellectual Property Attorney. IAPQ members can seek free industry-related legal advice from David W. Koehser, Attorney at Law, on specific, straightforward issues that require no research by the attorney or the firm (e.g., “Who owns the copyright to a particular work?” or “What are the benefits of copyright registration?” or "What do I do if I think my copyright has been infringed?"). Please be aware that in some cases the attorney may determine that the question will require research and/or a more lengthy and detailed analysis beyond the program. David Koehser is an attorney who is well versed in the quilt industry and has represented numerous quilters in IP-related matters. ($200 value)

Important Information About Your Membership
Current membership dues are $139 per year. Credit card payments are processed through our secure system and will renew automatically each year until you cancel via email. Automatic renewal prevents lapses in your membership so that your IAPQ member site stays active and available for your use and applies to memberships (new or renewal) purchased after 10/01/10. If you purchased a membership prior to that time, you will need to renew by clicking the Join Now button. You will receive reminders 30 days, 10 days and one day prior to the renewal date. You are welcome to renew your membership at any time. If you renew at a special discount prior to your renewal date and your renewal is automated, it will renew 12 months later. This may or many not coincide with the membership date on your member page. Again, if you do not want an automatic renewal, you must notify us via email or you will be responsible for any additional fees we incur from your credit card company.
